ground combat looks like a lot of fun.
question: do you have to press the fire button (like 1 or whatever) to fire each shot or does it do it automatically? in champions it’s autofire for the basic power-charging attacks but for the attacks you have to charge up for it’s not.
wow the character models looks better from the E3 trailers.
Yep, you have to fire each shot. If you play CO, you’ll easily see how they utilized the Cryptic Engine in STO. Unfortunately, I thought the ground combat was pretty boring and lackluster, CO’s has a lot more variety and style.
I read on the forums you could run to the edge and kick ‘em around! I totally forgot to do that while I was there, sounds hilarious!
If Cryptic somehow made the ground combat work as an FPS…. They could just print money.
I’m guessing the UI is still under heavy development.

Mmm, the ground combat actually looks like that game from Star Trek Deep Space 9, The Fallen Orbit or something likethat
it kinda have a strange feeling about this,
the gun skills, are like almost from Star Wars Knight of the Old Republic
even the normal attack for mid range gun
I’d rather play lotro…

they said they ‘stole’ / took influence from Mass Effect, which is what I see.
Have you played as the Klingon faction, they don’t even seem complete yet, there’s so little info on them. They should have superior melee combat, but it’s looking like they all play the same. This game is really looking crappy, especially the ground combat.
Looks alot like KOTOR to me. i have high hopes for this game, but the more gameplay i see the more i fear…
