Star Trek Online Trailer: The Glory Of The Klingon Empire

Just when you thought you’d seen enough Star Trek Online space combat videos to keep you satisfied for a day or two, Cryptic Studios whips out a Klingon focused trailer that’s sure to get your Pepto Bismol colored blood beating through those hardened, warrior-like veins. That’s right, Klingons are in this game! We almost forgot with all that Federation love coming from Cryptic ever since the game was announced. But that’s okay, because Klingon’s are accustomed to waiting in secrecy for the right moment to strike. This is only the first small disruptor blast in what’s sure to be a volley of ferocious strikes far greater than any puny Federation ship could hand

who the hell scripted this? bad lines with a good voice actor do not make a compelling trailer :P

  2. Alaska12 says:

romulus isnt destroyed in this game star trek online is based 30 after nemisis, in this the new star trek movie story didnt happen anyway romulus was destroyed 130 after that movie if you listen to spock telling kirk about it

  3. locutus9956 says:

wrong on both counts. Romulus IS destroyed in the STO timeline (they even explain this at great length on the official website. Spock is talking about 130 years FROM THE CURRENT date when he says that not after Nemesis, it occurs in 2387, about 20 years BEFORE STO is set… kindly stop misinforming folks when you dont have a clue!

  4. locutus9956 says:

(the Romulan Empire is still around mind you, just beccause their homeworld is toast doesnt mean the whole empire collapses imediately!)

  5. Tyrium7798 says:

Listen carefully in Abrams Star Trek during the mind-meld. Spock describes Nero as being the last of the Romulan Empire.

  6. Kendodeshi says:

    Qaplaaaa!

  7. locutus9956 says:

perhaps spock was wrong then? I will rewatch it later frankly but all I can say is that in both the lore of STO which is aproved by paramount, and in the comic ‘Star Trek Countdown’ (which is the backstory to the new movie written by the writers of said movie and also aproved canon) Nero is NOT the last romulan.

  8. FrostPegasus says:

@locutus9956 Indeed, the Romulan Empire still exists, and currently Tal’Aura is the Praetor, if you’ve seen Star Trek Nemesis, she’s the one who killed the entire Senate with that little radiation device.
Romulus (and Remus) are destroyed, creating a powervacuum, which explains the Klingon invasion of the Romulan Empire. (and the empire fell into a civil war between Donatra and Tal’aura)

Hmmph,…Sounds like something that got dumped at a Federation Orphanage.

  13. goddifist says:

I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.) cooking games[/url
