Star Trek Online Tribble Breeding
Star Trek Tribbles, These furry cute creatures can raise havoc in your inventory eat all your food, batteries etc. But they do have a purpose . Cracking the Tribble code for breeding is a lot simpler than most people make is sound. All it really takes is time and patience.
When you pet a tribble it gives you a buff which is activated on the ground. If for example you are doing Player vs Player you can buff in a base or even inside your bridge in your starship. As you may have noticed a tribble will eat your food, batteries in your bank or inventory if you are not careful. So here is my suggestion when you decide to breed tribbles. Have only one piece of food and the tribble you want to breed to make a new one. Simple formulas is X tribble +Y food = Z New Tribble.
It takes an hour for a tribble to eat the food you give them. You need to be online for the one hour process. If you decide to log off from your character the timer will resume from where it left off. The Timer does not reset so if you need to log and continue later you can. If you decide to add more food to your inventory you can do so without resetting the timer. Just be bit of warning there is no way presently to assign what food the tribble will eat. So if you have say two tribbles and want to breed a different type. My suggestion is to just have that one Tribble in your inventory or your bank and once piece of food or you are going to have a tribble zoo when you return lol.
Well anyway lets work on the actual breeding.
The most sought after Tribble in Star Trek online is the Ricossa Tribble because it gives you a double buff. Dps and Damage Resistance for a full hour, great for pvp or even doing harder missions.
To Breed the Ricossa It’s quite simple. This is the full process to get to the Ricossa there are multiple paths they both start with Tuffli Tribble. You can find them on the Ah or you can breed one quite easily.
Get the common Tribble Dotson from the ah they usually anywhere from 1 to 50 credits. Feed the Dotson Tribble Banana pancakes or a Croissaint. Which will produce a Suslio then feed it a Bolian Souffle. This will Give you the base Tribble Tuffli.
From now on I’m going to use the formula Tribble plus food type or types Equals New Tribble
A Tufflie Plus Cardassian Yamok Sauce or Ferengi Snail Steak or Flaked Blood Fleas or Klingon Graphok Sauce Equals a MCcarry
MCCarry Plus Cardassian Yamok Sauce or Kling Grapok Sauce = Howe
Note: The Howe is one of the base Tribbles you should keep he will always produce a Ricossa
Howe Plus Jumbo Romulan Mollusk or Klingon Gladst or Klingon Octopus Equals Ricossa
The Ricossa tribble is a double buff tribble that will give you Dps and Damage Resistance Buff for an hour.
There is a second Chain of tribbles you can use to reach Ricossa with and it’s as follows:
Tuffli Plus Ferengi Jellied Gree-Worm or Klingon Gagh or Slug-o-Cola Or Trixian Buble Juice Equals Nix
Nix Plus Kling Gladst or Klingon Octopus or Romulan Kali-Fal or Vulcan Spice Tea Equals Stacy
Note: Stacy is the other tribble that can make a Ricossa so keep her around
Stacy Plus Jumbo Romulan Mollusk or Klingon Glads or Klingon Octopus Will Equals Ricossa.
This is optional if you want all the tribbles from a Ricossa plus Jumbo Romulan Mullusk Equals Griffis
Ricossa PlusCardassian Tasper Egg Equals Daxter.
Next Section is how to breed for a Matson Tribble which gives Health Regen and Dps Buff
First Path is as follows:
Tuffli Plus Cardassian Zabu Stew or Rambata Stew or Romulan Kali-Fal or Vulcan Spice Tea Equals Jasperson.
Jasperson Plus Romulan Ale or Slug-o-Cola or Trixian Buble Juice Equals Cavallaro
Note: Cavallaro is one of your base Tribbles to making the Mattson.
Cavallaro Plus Alderbaran Whiskey or Romulan Ale or Saurian Brandy Equals Mattson
The Mattson is a double buff tribble which provides you with Heal Regeneration and Damage Reistance for an hour.
Second Tree to making a Mattson is as follows
Tuffli Plus Bajoran Moba Fruit or Betazoid Uttaberry or Blood Wine or Cardassian Kanar Or Chateau Picard or Livanian Beet or Tulaberry Vorta Q’lava or Vorta Rippleberry Equals Henry
Henry Plus Aldebaran Whisky or Blood Wine or Cadassian Kanar or Chateu Picard or Caurian Brandy Equals Deangelo.
Deangelo plus Aldebaran Whisky or Romulan Ale or Saurian Brandy Equals Mattson.
If you are looking to breed em all then here is the ones that you can breed with the Mattson.
Mattson Plus Tranya Equals a Velasquez.
Velasquez Plus Romulan Osol Twist Equals a Nielson
Mattson plus Romulan Ale Equals Highison
Highson plus Klingon Heart of Targ Equals Zinc.
Highson pluse Tulaberry Wine Equals a Yu.

Where can I get some of the food, like Romulan Ale and Jumbo Romulan Mollusk?
All 72% food items are drop only [which are needed for Tier 7 and 8 tribbles]: Cardassian Taspar Egg, Jumbo Romulan Mollusk, Klingon Heart of Targ, Quadrotriticale, Romulan Ale, Romulan Osol Twist, Tranya, Tulaberry Wine
To make Ricossa (Tier 6), the only 65% food item you need is either Klingon Gladst or Klingon Octopus.
Tribble food items for Tier 2-6 (except Ricossa) can be bought for 20 energy credits from vendors at Dozana (Eta Eridani), Deep Space Nine, or Captain’s Table. For simplicity, you can get all of them with the following: Cardassian Yamok Sauce, Saurian Brandy, Slug-o-cola, Vulcan Spice Tea, and (Cardassian Kanar OR Chateau Picard).

I was startled to hear that I can even breed my fictional tribbles while I eat with the help of star trek. LOL. It is nice that I can feed my tribble within one hour with the help of timer. But I don’t know where I can get the foods or how to get the energy credits in the game? You had mentioned about the banana pan cakes and some more items. I am confused that how often I should feed my tribbles and how much I should feed them for playing a stronger game. Hope I will get the answers soon!
