couple of questions..
1. does anyone know when seasons 2 and 3 will be released on blu ray?
2. when watching in the original format, are there scratches in the picture (like in the old days)?
thanks
As far as I know the release dates for seasons 2 and 3 have not yet been decided upon yet. And yes, the original effects are the same as they always were
is it true that you can switch from fx to original while watching it because i am considering buying a blu-ray player and wanna know if this is a good buy because i am fellow star trek fanatic.
Yeah, I’m a bit miffed about the episode order as well. The DVD Season sets and the Remastered DVD Season sets both went for airdate order. No idea why, especially given that the Production order had been so firmly established as the preferred viewing order by nearly ALL previous home video releases for the past 20 years… So yeah, we’ve been doing a lot of disc-swapping to watch them in the right order. Otherwise, a fantastic set!
I hate how Futureshop puts the stickers on the slip case. Are they also releasing the star trek movies on Blu-Ray?
I gotta get this.
Yes they are, they came out this week actually
very nice!!! im quite keen on gettin into the star trek series myself

Yep, you can switch between original and new fx on the fly, mix and match however you like or watch one version or the other! It’s great!

I love the enhanced effects.
The faceless crew woman scene in “Charlie X” always seemed shortened to me. Is there any difference in this new release?
They actually give you a choice between original or enhanced effects? George Lucas are you taking notes?
